Latino/Latinx graphic design spans multiple platforms and has contributed to many of the world’s most influential branding, packaging, UX/UI, and other design projects. Yet, Latinx design is almost entirely excluded from the graphic design canon. Diseñotería is a lotería based, educational card game and book that spotlights the impact that design and designers with Latinx roots have had. Whether it's famous band logos to highly renowned title sequences to essential works in print, there is something recognizable to everyone. The game features 30 cards, multiple different tablas to play on, a riddles sheet, an informational book, and a game box. The cards focus on the faces, and the book expands on their work and assists the user in play.

Awarded best in show at Ligature 29 by Meg Lewis + Tad Carpenter
The visual system fuses playful and illustrative type with more formal serifs for legibility that allows flexibility across my various deliverables. The limited yet diverse color scheme was selected to reflect the vibrancy and color of the work.
Various emblematic embellishments throughout the project to assist with the unification and also pay homage to the floral embellishments found throughout Mexican art, fashion, and design. The illustration style makes users feel familiar with the designer, while still encapsulating the vibrancy and diversity within Latinx design and culture.
